Georg Rollenhagen

(* 22. April 1542 in Bernau near Berlin; † 20. May 1609 in Magdeburg) was a German writer, playwright, educator and preacher. Under the Pseudonym Marcus Hüpfinsholz von Meusebach he authored many works, including this one. "Froschmeuseler" was his most successful work with many editions. The 1595 spelling was changed to "Froschmäuseler", which is used in this book.
